Excellent & clean unit with bathroom. Central heating and television were nice.

The hotel was simple, fairly clean, in a lovely area. Approaching, polite people working here. Breakfast with porridge and another story-sour milk, for instance. Fantastic stay, as always.

Friendly staff, hearty breakfast, who made us feel welcomed and ensured we didn't leave hungry despite the limited options from the kitchen, all while being conveniently located near hiking trails for exploration.

The stay was quite disappointing. The initial impression was marred by a dirty room and unavailability of staff when needed. We left without breakfast due to a lack of preparation and the overall atmosphere was chaotic. the room was spacious enough to accommodate us comfortably, and it was a relief to safely store our bicycles inside.

Spacious room with comfy beds. Private bathroom with a shower and a tv. Heating kept us warm and cozy. Loved the cozy common areas with a log fire. Staff was very attentive. Breakfast included good options like scrambled eggs. Had a nice time overall exploring the beautiful countryside. Plus, it was dog-friendly!

The staff were helpful and friendly, made for a pleasant atmosphere. The Beautiful Family Room was spacious enough for our group, and the bathroom was well-equipped with towels. While the overall experience felt slightly dated and could use a fresh coat of paint, the location offered fine scenic drives in the area. Breakfast featured typical English items and tasty pastries.

We hiked to the Strathardle Highland Gathering and explored the beautiful countryside. Excellent activities like skiing are close by too. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend for a group getaway!

charming village base for city exploration and nature walks

I found the staff very friendly and the location perfect for enjoying local walks and visiting nearby attractions like the Wee Scottish Gallery, just over 4 km away and River Ardle, only about 3 km away.

The beautiful family room was pretty spacious, nice. It overlooked the street and had a big window, letting in a lot of light. Everything was clean, but the room felt a bit dated. It wasn't super cozy, and the furniture seemed worn out. It was decent for a rural escape, but a little TLC wouldn't hurt.

I had a lovely stay with spotlessly clean rooms and excellent food, especially the kirky burger, but the service at times was a bit off.

Ask for homemade meal specials during your stay. They are a good highlight that you won't want to miss.
